Rounded up mine from around the garage to take a pic with the newest arrival.
Left to right Cold Steel, US marked Ontario, Sheffield Steel, Condor Makara and a Jungalee.

My local army surplus sells the ontario machetes without a sheath.
That's annoying.
Yes, I'm going to walk out into a busy crowded California street with a massive sword, excuse me "machete"

So has California banned bags as well now?.......

😉

On a more serious note, it's a shame Machete threads have nowhere to go, they seem spread out all over the forum, here, Axes sub forum, Swords sub forum, Outdoors.......
A place for Machete fans would be a nice feature. 🙂

A few of mine.

I didn't include them, but all of these has sheaths for them. The Ontario has the plastic one dated 1968.

The machete my father brought back from WWII, which is the one he taught me to use. (The knife in the foreground is one he rescued and rehabilitated.)

Two Ontario machetes:

I have a strong preference for the WWII machetes because they're made of spring steel. They're responsive and -- well -- springy! To me the Ontarios are stiff and 'unlively', and the handles too square to feel right in my hand.

I took the Condor out shortly after I got it. There was a 1 1/2" thick vine hanging from a tree. The first swipe cut it in one swing, follow up took chunks off the free hanging vine with ease. The edge was so sharp it easily cut a piece of paper in two like a knife!

I have this thing. It was a clearance buy from gander mountain store a long time ago.

Its a janky Gerber but it's served well over the years. Hopefully it will be replaced with something much cooler in the future. 😉😆

The parang shape is pretty cool. Kind of like a machete and hatchet in one.
