Anyone got a knife using 3-48?
Or just #3?
3-56?
Seems like one of my knives is using something larger than 2-56 but smaller than 4-40.
Need some confirmation before I order some.

thanks!

I'm using 3-56 screws in the handle of my Cold Steel Ti-Lite 6 (I wanted longer screws for more thread connection). I'm not sure if they are the original size, but they fit perfectly. The reason I'm not sure is because I assume that Cold Steel knives made in Taiwan would use metric screws. I tried 2.5mm, too small, 3mm too big, it's possible that 2.6mm would have been correct (I didn't have any 2.6mm), but like I said 3-56 fit perfect.

Also, I have an original TOPS Magnum folder made in USA that uses 3-56 screws.

That's my experience anyway with production knives and 3-56 screws.

I found some 3-48 on eBay.
Only 3-56 button I found was on amazon but qty is per 100.
I may have to use caps.

one freakin screw...

McMaster-carr.com has both sizes in a variety of head types, materials, lengths, and quantities.

That's where I buy most of my hardware.

And Boltdepot.com has 3-48 screws. They sell screws individually, with no minimum purchase required.

I also buy regularly from Boltdepot.
