Machined G-10 Leek and ZDP Leek?

Awile back I saw a Leek on some retailers website (I can't remember who's) with machined G-10 handles. I wanted to get one just for the handles to be used with other better blades (such as the Damascus or S30v blades) but now I can't find it.

Anyone know where I could find one of these?

Also anyplace other than ebay still have the ZDP-189 Leeks kicking around at a decent price? I want one for both the blade and the Ti handles.

Newgraham.com has a g10 leek with s30v steel, nice and cheap too. I might just have to rethink my purchasing order.
 
The one I'm looking for had carved not textured handles with the sandvik steel. I want one just for the handles. It was like $50-60 when I saw it.
 
With alot of leek variants there were 500 or so made as a special order from a distributor. I'd imagine this one was one of those. If you keep kicking around the internet you might find one but more likely you will have to get it on the secondary market (auction sites or in the exchange here). Keep your peepers peeled and one will turn up eventually. Another alternative is to get a paying membership here so you can have a sig line (like below this post) and put what you are looking for there. It is likely that someone will have what you are looking for and contact you. I needed a pretty scarce knife to complete a collection and several people stepped up to help me out. Most folks here know what it is like to "need" something and are willing to help out. Good luck with your quest.

As mentioned in the thread, the linked knife isn't the K1660T1G10 that Thomas W. thinks it is. It matches the description you gave but is a 440 blade instead of the Sandvik.

I must have gotten one of the last ones because it's not on the site any longer, just the new "textured" handle S30V model.

Yup that is the one I was looking for... not sure I want to pay that much for it though as I just want the G-10.
 
Yeah, the handles on the 1660T1G10 are awesome. I'm kicking myself for not buying a few more of them. They are great for using on other Leeks...

Yeah I agree. There's loads of different aluminum handles but quiet frankly I don't really like the aluminum. I'd like to see some different G-10 (and even G-11) colors as well as maybe some wood and other materials. The Leek seems to be a favorite of Kershaw for throwing out unique blades but not so much with unique handle materials. I also love the "lego" aspect of Leeks... mixing and matching as it where.

I think when I get my Ti ZDP Leek I'm going to use one of the Ti slabs (the one with the lock) on my currently frankenstiend polished G-10 damscus leek. I'm trying to get a good collection of different blades and handles to give me some variety. Even as Spyderco remains my favorite brand my favorite EDC has become the Leek.
