I have found this to be an excellent reference book to have on hand. Covers anything you want to know about shop work.

I have two of them in my shop.I think they are invaluable in a metal working shop.

Any place that sells books can get it for you. The most up-to-date version was done in '96 and you can get it for $80.00

Yea, that's a lot, but it's a hell of a book too.

You can get it from ebay too, pretty much any release is on sale there. The '96 version has some CAD/CAM, solid modeling, etc. coverage that you really wouldn't need in your knife-shop...so you could easily get away with an earlier release.

I bid on a brand-new, in the celephane package that included the new CD-rom, but was outbid, damn it.

I don't know if Powell's is national or local, but sometimes they have a copy of it.

Good luck,
Nick

I couldn't work with out it at times. It is the best source of reference for any machinist....or knifemaker.

Machinery's can be found at any machine shop supply house.

the old ones are dirt cheap...and although they might not have any cad stuff or anything like that...they still have all the charts and info that the new ones do....look in a used book store.....I have all kinds of old machinist and engineering books that I bought for under $5.
