Machining a slot on the Sebenza scale to hold the hex key

Kind of like how the Swiss Army Knives have a slot to hold pen/toothpick/etc, I'm just wondering if it would be possible to machine a slot to hold the hex key in?

That way I don't have to carry the hex key separately and I can disassemble/assemble my knife anywhere!

Why not slide one along side it in a slip sheath?, I bought the right size Allen/socket head driver and keep one clipped with a pen in my pocket if I think I'll be needin' it.

Better yet why not just put an appropriately sized hed wrench on your keychain? Voila!

An idea that appeared around here.

I can't imagine too many cases where a knife has to be broken down in the field to be serviced that cannot wait until you are at a spot where you can do a proper cleaning.
Most of mine have not been taken apart. Some have for the now defunct stickies that I need to fix at the top of this subforum. But mostly not.
I will do it to sell a knife. (I assume the buyer does not really want my DNA in the purchase) I will do it to clean a knife after processing game if it is used or cut something that may contaminate my food. That is pretty much it.
Have a friend that was talking to me at work about knives when I took his large regular from his pocket by the lanyard. It was fairly beat up.. Anyway, I offered to take it in and have it spa'd for him. He was a former employee to CRK in the late 90's. The large regular had not been taken apart since he was an employee there. ~20yrs and it was really smooth. The lockbar was really close to touching the opposite scale..but that was solved too. It's a good testament to how long these knives can go without tearing them down willy nilly

What about putting a Leatherman Tread on your wrist? You can tear-down a Sebenza and a whole lot more--
