Mackinac or Lone Star?

I guess I could use some help in determining which one I should get.
To help out I'm looking at the nail nick versions since they are more traditional in their appeal.
I plan on trying my hand at leather work and creating a sheath versus pocket carry.
You can't say "both" (well you can, and that is what will probably happen).
Does one appeal to you more than the other?
Comments, input, options, thoughts, please share and help me out.
Thanks in advance.

Both....no such thing as cant.....
I bought the lone star and liked it until I held the mackinac...
They are physical different in size so each has it's own appeal IMO.
For the price you really can't lose on getting them both.

I like the handle shape and blade shape more on the Mackinac, but like the full flat grind better on the lone star.

Real tough choice, but they both look great. I have been fighting ordering one. I don't really "need" one, but there are other things I don't "need" more. (like a felling axe, full tang spike hawk, etc etc etc)

The full-flat-ground blade of the Lone Star appeals to me. Do you have the opportunity to handle them? That's what usually seals the deal for me.

I really like my Mackinac, it feels good in the hand, but I wish it wasn't hollow ground. No help I know.

I got the Mackinac because there's a sheath available for it. It's become my favorite EDC folder, partially because of this. If you plan on making a sheath, why not try the Lone Star? Bigger blade, FFG, more cutting and shearing power. I intend to get a Lone Star myself eventually.

That's the issue right now ---- it will be a "no handling" buy from the net. I'm usually pretty good with my selections, but I'm still about 70/30.
Thanks everyone for the input.
Both is probably the route I will take, but I want to handle one first to see (hence why I looked to see where the votes went)
For some unknown reason they both speak to me.
If pushed against the wall I'd say it's because of the old school look.
