Good evening

a few years ago I met someone here who was making DECENT MAVC CISCO reproduction knives & leather sheath made of forged carbon steel

Back then I didn't have enough money to order.
now I'm ready but I lost his user ID and email.

If you recognize yourself or if anyone else knows who I'm talking about, (or want to make any recommendation) would it be possible to communicate with me directly? (PM)

THANKS

you might try a thread title search for MACV

Greg Covington of Ohio, he's probably the premier maker of forged SOG CISO knives right now.
EDIT : damn i thought it was him but since he live in Ohio its not him. the gentleman i was talking with years ago was living in North Carolina if i remember well.

Ok, the only North Carolina connection I can think of is Ronnie Beck of Beck's Cutlery of NC ( https://beckscutlery.com ) . He worked with Ben Baker and a past away maker named Gary Hicks of California to make knives off of Baker's drawings/blue prints. Might be worth dropping him an email and see if he knows anyone making them there. He used to to deal in military/fighting knives quite a bit.

The Covington knives are really nice though. He's a collector too, and has owned some original examples, and was willing to do some little seen variations.
