Hey everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if Mad Dog Knives produced a folder with ceramic material similar to that of the Mirage series. Thanks again!

There was one made, but not by Mad Dog Knives. IIRC, a Tactical Forums member modified a Mongoose/Wombat (knife models offered by Mad Dog Knives, models now discontinued) knife to be incorporated into a folder. The knife was made, but I have not heard word of it in some years.

i would imagine this upset mr mclung he doesnt like folks to mod his knives, IIRC.

i knew i remembered that incident lol, mclung felt he and his work had been "dissed".

bram frank reacted the same way when someone posted picks of a heavily mod'ed gunting (which, imho, looked pretty good).

i suppose i understand how they feel but i would just blow it off, hey they own the knives and ya can do what ya want with your stuff.

That was Eric Blair did the Gunting mod, did a nice job on it.

Look at the mods on Sebenzas, Tom Mayo's work, and others. No one gets upset over those. Once you buy the knife, it's yours to play with.

No whitey529, and I suspect hell would need to freeze over before Mad Dog produces a folding knife. Even then, not sure.

IMO, although Bram overreacted, he did have a point. Basically what he said was that a modified gunting is not a gunting, because it doesn't perform the full SD functions that a gunting does, or at least not as effectively.

it wasn't even that heavily modded, was it? tip up and some contours on the handle, wasn't it?
