I have a Mad Dog freq flyer...serrated (well it used to be!)...what can be done to either resharpen the serrations or to just give it a non serrated edge ? Any help will be apreciated....I am new to knives but learning more. nothing compliments a good 45 like a good blade!

Go to the source; you will get the best answer. http://www.tacticalforums.com

IIRC it's recommended that you use a high grit sandpaper to resharpen and polish it - somewhere in the 800-1200 range but I'll agree with going to the source.

thanks guys....keep the muzzle and blade in a safe direction at all times.
Any idea what a used frq flyer is worth ?

Well, there's several factors involved in any used knife...

For example, just how "used" is it? Is it sharp as a bowling ball, or does it have the original factory edge?

Does the warranty transfer to the second owner? In the case of Mad Dog Knives, that answer is no.

What condition are the accessories (if any) that come with it?

You get the drift.

If it's in great condition, you shouldn't have a problem selling for between 50-75% of what you paid for it. Revise upwards or downwards for collectability and condition, etc...

Can't you simply use a dremel or even a fine file to cut out the serrations and sharpen with sandpaper? You could also just wrap sandpaper around a dowel to make a round file if you don't have one on hand.

Caution - G10 dust is not lung friendly.
