I hate to do it. But with a kid starting college in a month and a couple of new knives on the way, this safe queen has to go...
Like the title says, for sale is a Mad Dog Knives Spellbinder. The Spellbinder is the crown jewel of Mad Dog's Voodoo series of double edge fighters, considered by many to be the most impressive knife in Mad Dog's line up. The blade is 9" of industrial hard chromed, differentially heat treated Starrett O1 tool steel. And is topped of with am absolutely stunning Glowing Temper Line. The pictures don't do it justice, it must be seen to be fully appreciated. The handle is Mad Dog's justifiably famous (and ergonomically perfect) one-piece black composite handle. If you've ever held a Mad Dog. you'll know what I'm talking about! This knife also comes with 2 kydex sheaths; a standard ATAK style combat sheath and a Dundee Rig.
The knife and sheaths are all in new condition. There are a few small scuffs toward the rear of the blade on the right side from the knife being put in and out of the kydex sheath. But the knife is a true safe queen. It has never cut anything, not even paper. It has never been carried or sharpened and has only ever been unsheathed a handful of times. If you require close up pics, please contact me and let me know what you would like to see. I can borrow a high-res digital camera and take the pics and e-mail them to you.
How rare is this knife? Very rare, to be sure. There aren't very many Spellbinders out there to begin with, and only 10 numbered ones were ever made. And on top of that, this one has the Glowing Temper Line. So rest assured, there are only a few numbered GTL Spellbinders in existence!
On the rare occasion that a numbered GTL Spellbinder changes hands, the market value seem to usually be around the $2000 mark and up. But I need to increase my cash flow rather soon, so I am pricing this one at $1700, plus $25 for shipping and insurance. PayPal prefered, and I will eat the PayPal fees. I am willing to discuss other payment methods if you don't do PayPal.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all about this amazing knife.
Thanks!
