Holy Smokes! This thing is outrageous! Absolutely beautiful design and smoooottth as glass to open. This is my first custom and I am amazed at the ease with which this baby opens. There are many rich details in the design, I opted for the anodized finish which is first rate and the blade finish is gorgeous. Mr. Ralph, my hat is off to ya!

I noticed there wasn't a spec sheet on Darrel's website so I took the liberty of measuring and weighing the beast. It measures 11 11/16" OAL and weighs in at 7.7 ounces. Not bad for such a monstrous folder. I expected a heavier feel but it is very nicely balanced.

Will post pics when I get a chance.

Good deal Peter! Glad you got it. I had been wondering about the weight and am glad you found it. That 7.7oz makes for a heavy knife in most packages but not so here. I know I harp on this every chance I get but the MM is so well balanced that it feels like it weighs half that in your hand! Post that pic soon as you can. WE are ALL anxious to see it!

Yours might be a tad heavier Art, since the Bowie style looks to be a bigger blade. I am definitely in love with this dagger and will carry it everywhere. I think the most comfortable carry for me will be in the side pocket of carpenter pants. It is actually quite comfortable in the right front pocket though which surprised me a little.

The nugget work complements the overall design very well. It really has a feel of royal plunder to it. I'll post pics soon but it is going to be a couple of days.

For anyone who may have been vasilating, I urge you to go for it and drop Darrel a line. I'm very glad I took the plunge!
