It's more fiction than fact, but the movie Death Hunt with Charles Bronson is one of my favorites.

Actually, you have it backward. The man hunt and event are documented fact. The movie however was a Hollywood job based very loosely on the historical event.

Many parts of the movie were fiction...in the movie, the Mounty, Edgar Millen seemed to have shot the mad trapper, in fact, I, Albert Johnson shot the mounty Millen in real life. One of the more unbeliavable parts in the movie was that they dynamited my cabin while I was in it and I walked out alive... this was actually true.
Psychopath and murderer? No. It was all a frame up. There are too many holes in their (the RCMP) story. I ran, since many men were after me trying to kill me...shoot first and ask questions later. Wouldn't you run too?
For the best and closest book on it, read Mad Trapper of Rat River by Dick North...IF you can get a copy of it. (you may not be able to)
Noone really knows the truth, unless they were there or more so, IF they were me. History is written by the victors.
Took place in 1931-1932, in the dead of Winter...temps. usually around 40 below. I was the toughest of the tough in the wilderness.
I AM the reincarnation of Albert Johnson...my real name was Arthur Nelson. The gold in my pouch was placer gold I'd found while out trapping.
The RCMP made up many fictional parts to my story. The gold was not fillings from men's teeth. The mounty knocking on my front door accidentally shot himself, after slipping on some ice...he blamed me. All the time I was just trying to defend myself. If it wasn't for that #$^& airplane, I would have gotten away. Those mounties were too soft and inexperienced to catch me.

Albert the Troll,, I am quoting your drivel only to save it for postarity. We do not want you coming back and editing any of it out at a later date to hide what you said. If I am not mistaken there is a Mountie who posts here some times. He will love reading your post.

Not a troll. Wouldn't hide what i said. Trying to get you guys to open your minds...
Did Oswald shoot Kennedy? Were the women in Salem real witches? Like i alluded to, the crowd is often wrong. (history is written by the victors) If you get lost in the wilderness you MUST keep an open mind. If you don't, you may not make it. During a crescent moon, draw a tangent line from the two tips of the moon down to the horizon...that will always be south.
In the movie, they take my side. (Bronson, Marvin, Dickinson movie)
