Found this little gem when visiting A.G.'s site.

HTM Madd Maxx 7
The story of Darrel Ralph's Madd Maxx 7 is closely tied to Phil Gibbs, who I, and many others, consider to be the top folding knife engineer in the U.S.A. We are fortunate to have Phil now working with us here at A. G. Russell™ Knives.

Well what A.G. says !

I think we are very fortunate to have both Tom and Phil contributing to this forum.

Phil, please tell me more about that :o.
Probably on this forum but I do not know the history of this knife :(

When Darrel designed the Madd Maxx 5.5 I made the sarcastic remark of asking him if he was ever going to make one in "Men's Sizing" :p

Shortly after that he made me a Madd Maxx 7.

Camillus only made about 125 of the Madd Maxx 7

Last one I saw on eBay went for over $800!!

Here is the "New & Improved" Maxx.
Upgraded to CPM-S30V & 3D machined carbon fiber handle.

Not a Camillus, but "Gibbs Approved"!

None of Darrel's knives are "in-expensive". I'm hoping I hit the powerball so I can pick up a couple. I bought an x-Ray from him a few years ago while he was transitioning from Camillus. Great knife. The Maxx (one of them) is on my list.
