Well, my wait is finally over. Just got back from UPS, and playing with my new toy. The most surprising thing to me is the weight of the 5" Madd Maxx, maybe the size was playing tricks with my mind, but I was expecting a much heavier and hard to handle knife. This size Madd Maxx is perfect. The flipper has really impressed me, its actually easier and much faster than any liner lock you could imagine. All it takes is about 5 minutes, and you'll learn how to use the blade's weight to assist the opening. Hardly takes any flick of the wrist at all, no long sweaping motions or anything you would see in a martial arts movie :) Blade is Ralph sharp as are all of his knives, and yes I have designated his virgin brand new edges as "Ralph" sharp. Anyone who has his knives will agree, scary just doesn't have meaning anymore. This is really a great knife, and most of all is fun to use with that flipper design. Though everyone might enjoy some pics so here they are:

Cool pics, Dark. Looks like you covered just about every angle, giving folks a better idea of this knife's dimensions. I for one have never handled one, but I now have a much better idea.

If a picture's worth a thousand words, eight pictures are, well, pretty damn cool :D Thanks for posting
