I made an old friend of mine a gift of a couple of new Bucks today and he was thrilled. I gave him one of the new Quickfires and a new Vantage Avid 346. I had given him a new 110 and a 112 sometime ago, but he had no idea Buck made so many kinds of knives.

When he thought of Buck,he thought of the 110 or 119. It's amazing that so many people are like that.

yes many dont really know what all buck makes
many times all us here are suprised
like
yea they made that!

Hi Plumberdv -

Very cool of you!

I really had lost touch with Buck until I found you folks and this forum.

Now I have a couple of the new breed of Bucks, and they are everything the old ones I remember were.

best regards -

He really liked the fact that the clips are mounted so that the knife doesn't even show when you clip them inside a pocket. He was carrying both when I left.

Good Deal Dave. Its always nice to hear someone have their fire for Buck's rekindled by a wonderful gester like that!

Thank you Plumber for doing that . Others have done it for me and I was so shocked that it put a spring in my step for weeks . DM

This guy and I go way back, we met and became best friends when we were 14, we're both 67 now. I'd do just about anything for the guy.

Thanks David. I enjoy doing things like that.
I messed up just recently, by waiting too long. There's a forum member here that was really wanting a Rosey Folding Kalinga, but didn't really have the knife budget for it. I thought about giving him one that I had carried some but by the time I got around to telling him, he had already figured out a way to order one. He was very thankful for the offer, but said since he had bought one, he couldn't take it from me and I should pick someone else. He's a very nice guy and an asset to the forum.

yes it a wonder to give or revive a knife gift
i have been shocked at some knife ariveing in the mail!
and i find that when i give one away
that there is a bounce up in my feelings for a few days too

You da man Plum:thumbup::D A stellar example of the generosity of materials and/or spirit alive on this forum and I'm proud to know ya(electronically at least)

I have been showin off my accumulations, as I have got them, to the guys at work this last year which is about 18 different types of Bucks and after showing the Csar a couple weeks ago, a couple people said I must be getting close to having all the kinds Buck makes:eek::eek: And you are right, they are amazed when I tell them I have just begun to scratch the surface of all the different types they make:thumbup: Work work work:D
