Since I am not a fan of pouches and sheaths I decided to make a clip for my Swisstool Spirit. I still need to work on the finish of the screws and clip but it is functional.

NOTE: I did not modify the tool in any way.

This looks pretty good dyee! On the pics it almost looks like factory made.

Question for klattman: can you tell me where this SOSAK forum is? Could you post a (direct) link? Thanks.

Here is how I made it, mostly from computer parts :) I cut out a 90 degree bent portion of a power supply case (computer case sheet is too flimsy). The bend was just for the part that spans both sides of the tool, I just can't bend metal that good. The rest was cut away with a rotary tool. it is secured with bolts from a motherboard (like the ones that secure the video cable). If you cut them in half you have a nut and a bolt, nut on the inside bold on the outside. The upper bolt is trimmed to fit in the cork screw slot.

To secure it just open half of the pliers and bolt together.

That is really ingenious! Now you need to figure out a way to mass manufacture them. :D

I'd buy one!

Cannot post a direct link, follow the links on the thread above, you will have to register and pass a 'test'.

Thanks klattman. I registered and it seems like I already passed the 'test' cause I got full access to all the threads :D. Very interesting forum!

That's a great idea! I dislike the Spirit pouch in general, and when camping I often wear pants and shorts that have no belt to support a pouch or sheath anyway.

nicely done. it works with the spirit, however for me, i need the pouch because of the bits and corkscrew
