Made a deadfall today

I have no idea what wood I was using but it was hard to whittle. I tried using a variety of knives for this, but the one that had no trouble was my 119. First time trying to make a deadfall and I used this youtube guide [video=youtube;26J11Pg85CU]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26J11Pg85CU[/video]

The video doesn't show the end game. What did you bait it with and what did you catch? Did ya eat it?

The weather decided to give us a downpour here and my bait stick broke. I had cantaloupe for bait and I'm going after rats. It took me two hours to make/fine-tune it but is good practice for survival situations. I have some ideas for deadfall 2.0 but right now its too muddy out.
