My next door neighbor is a Major General in the Marines. He has been home from Afghanistan for about two weeks and is heading back Saturday. My Becker BK 2 arrived in the FedEx truck and I thought it would be a nice gift for Mark. He is head of the Marine Corps troops over there and though I was only a L/cpl when
I was shot up over in Nam and later medically retired we are good friends. So I gave him the BK2 and thanked him and his men for their service over there.
He had never seen a Becker before but certainly recognized the KaBar name. The BK2 is an impressive weapon and I felt good sharing it with him.

Thats awesome man! Good for you! And thank you for caring. i also just donated to the armed services but it was cash, being a disabled vet i donate every year.

Very cool!

I just sent a 17 to my buddy currently stationed in Belgium. On the 7th I had flowers sent to my granddad's grave he was in the navy in ww2. I also placed flowers on my buddy's grave.

Perfect gift for the sandbox post. That culture (most of the middle east) has an appreciation for cutlery. It is a fine blade for over there, although its not an offense type weapon it can fill a bunch of needs. I am sure he will enjoy it, its not easy getting good stuff in a forward position. Thank him for his service for everyone that enjoys our country...

That is awesome! I was never in the miltary but i have nothing but respect for yall. I think it would be cool to see a pic of the 2 when he gets back and see what he had to say about it.
