SO i just got my first ZT in, 0300 blackwash. What a knife I love it! First thing I wanted to do was change the pocket clip to tip up and guess what........I stripped one of the torx screws:thumbdn:
Any advice on what my next move should be? I just cant stand tip down carry and need to get this fixed ASAP!
Any advice appreciated!

Sometimes your wrench straps worse than the bolt. Try grinding it back to better fitting bit and try again putting lots of pressure to help it not slip. Also, a dab of fine valve lapping compound will help it grab.

That's a good tip from SVT. Try heating the screw with the tip of a soldering iron, before you try it again. The heat will break any locktite loose on the screw.

Take a dermal, and a cut off wheel and cut a flat head cavity into the top of the screw. Then go to kershaws website. And order more screws if you want one.

If it's hopelessly striped, you may be able to superglue the driver to it. Pull a screw off another Kershaw for a week while new screws come.

as a last resort, I take a dremel or other small cutting instrument and cut a flat-head slot into stripped screws and use that to get them out. Might be harder on a small screw, but if you have steady hands and small tools it might work.

Can you post a pic of how bad it is? If it is really bad you can take it to a machine shop that does fine work or a watch shop. The watch shops can work magic on small striped screws. Legendas way is how I would do it if you have a steady hand, you can use a worn dremel cutting wheel to get a smaller diameter cutting face, so you don't nick the handle.
