I drew up this knife pattern and one of the bladesmiths on this forum made 10 of them for me of A1 and 1095, this one is 1095, the handle slabs are Corian.

Yesterday after a bicycle ride I ground up some Hard Red Wheat Berry into flour leavened it with sourdough starter and baked up this coarse whole grain loaf.

Then today, inspired by craftsman on another forum I made this flat bottomed bag for my coffee beans.

Gotta love a weekend when you can just putz around. Going for another bicycle ride, winds up, I'll get a little exercise.

Very nice, that priming horn is a beaut too.

2 questions, what other forum and where did you get those scissors?

Thanks guys.

awesome, how did you make that bag? I'd be interested in a few myself.

I used a small dish as a pattern for the bottom, then measured around the dish and added 1/2" this was the width for the bag then cut the length at 10" or so, I'm not sure I just used my eye. Then I whip stitched it inside out and punched holes for the draw string.

bushcraftusa and I got the scissors from a vendor that sells to historical re-enactors.

I made the priming horn a few years ago.

where'd you get the raw material for the bag?

I bought the full hide at the Alafia River Rendezvous, I got to start labeling them, I can't remember if it's elk of buffalo, its thinner than buffalo but the texture is throwing me off.

I always enjoy your projects.

Thanks, I love putzing around with stuff.
