I got my first Busse, a Natural Outlaw E, about a month ago. I loved the knife but wasn’t too fond of the sheath; I personally like dangler sheaths because I feel that they’re not in the way as much when carrying a large backpack. Other than that, the single stitching holding the belt loop made me uneasy about the strength of the original sheath. So, I decided early on to try to make a new sheath. I’ve never done this before, and didn’t have much tools or equipment, but went on just for the fun of it. I like the looks of leather, and since I figured that a bada$$ knife like the NO-E needed a tough and overbuilt sheath I decided to add a kydex lining. So for the past few weekends I have been working on my first sheath project ever and I just finished it a few days ago. Most of the time was spent trying to figure out how and what to do next, but the end result is really neat, if I may say so myself! If you are just interested in the finished sheath, you can stop reading now and look at the pics, but if you want a description of the whole work procedure, read my post in the Toolshed section (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=404383)! Making this sheath was a lot of fun, and it will surely add to the sentimental value of this knife. The whetstone in the sheath pocket is a Fällkniven DC3 diamond/ceramic whetstone that should cover all my field sharpening needs… BTW, the clipped knife is a Paramilitary - great for EDC!
