Made a sheath for my SY 711, I have a love hat relationship for Res C already.

I screwed up the first sheath I made last night, I just could not figure out how to get the handle opening correct. Res C as a handle material is not my favorite by ANY means to attempt to make a sheath for, maybe it was just the contouring that made making this sheath hard. However it is so comfortable in the hand I am willing to look past the $4 sheet of kydex and eyelets I wasted. This is the end result for sheath #2, its not great but it's sure better than the monstrocity I ended up with last night. The retention seems very good and it does not SEEM to be eating up the front corners of the Res C (As of yet anyway) Kydex thickness was .080 as that is what I had available.

I mucked up the front on a ResC handle making a sheath before. I thought about either greasing the handle beforehand or maybe some kind of fabric tape over it. The sheath in your pics looks great .

Thank you, definitely the hardest sheath I have made. Getting it to open up just right to allow the handle to slip in was my biggest challenge. I MAY still run a leather strap just for a little extra security. I am going to start working on my drop leg configuration for this blade and sheath as soon as the parts come in
