The old man’s Hawk was just sitting in the drawer for years without a proper sheath. Decided to make one for it this week. You’ll have to forgive the quality as I have no background at all in leathercraft. :D

The process was fairly simple. I took an old leather pencilcase and cut it to the right size, making sure to leave some margins for the stitching. Used the inner strands of 550 cord for stitching and a simple closure with some brown cord. It was pretty fun.

Still have so much to learn definitely, and my tools aren’t complete yet. There’s plenty of imperfections, but it’ll do for now. Suggestions and constructive criticism are welcome. The next projects would be the sheathless bushcraft and tracker knives.

Thanks for reading. :)

Looks great to me.
Does it have a welt ?
If not theres a good chance of it cutting through the stitching, you can always pop in some copper rivets to prevent that though.
