And not KAI, but 9mm on my Hinderer. I also made a .357mag LBS for a friend's Hinderer, but it looks like my computer ate the pic.

Its literally the rim of a center fire Shell with primer removed is all. Sweet, i can do that
 
Nope, can't remove the primer, the hole is too big (at least with the stock screw). Have to remove the primer cup, deprime it, put it back into the hole after the rim is cut, peen it so it stays, and drill a hole in the primer cup for the screw.
 
The nice thing about .44 is that it takes very little trimming around the edge to fit. Other calibers and knives can take a bit more, and the more you have to take off, the harder it is to keep it symmetrical!
