I bought a yellow what I thought was Schrade knife (pics below). When I first got the knife, I thought it was a true Schrade that flew under the Schrade quality radar. There is very weak snap in the blades, and more wobble than I have ever seen in a pocket knife.
Let's do a passaround with this knife among the Schrade collectors so people who are saying nice things about Taylor will stop.
I will send the knife to the first person who requests it in this thread, and that person should send it to the next. The last person to get it can keep it - I don't want it back.
The tang stamp says "Schrade Walden NY USA". I thought that was a legit Schrade stamp. Someone please clarify this for me.

The tang stamp on this knife looks like logo #7 on the chart below. Does anyone know how to discern the true Schrades from the Taylors, when they both bear this tang stamp?

Pygy...you're on dangerous ground mate and as a mate I want to let you know you are discussing a post 2004 knife which was not made at Ellenville or Walden and as such has no place on this forum as has recently been pointed out with the last thread closed....
We have all been caught..and we have all been admonished for discussing it.....lets just discuss the knives we know and love which were made prior to 2004 closure at Walden and Ellenville........just give the knife to your worst enemy mate,dinkum......Hoo Roo.

Larry303 - point taken, thanks. I just thought that since I was asking about how to tell the difference between true Schrade tang stamps and these, that it was OK to discuss on this forum. Sorry, I will close this thread.
