Made in USA shingling hatchet with unknown makers mark

Hello I am new to blade forums so I apologise for the large image. this is a shingling hatchet that is made in the USA. It has the mark 'MADE IN USA' on the other side of the axe. what I can't figure out is the makers mark. It is very difficult to see but in the photo I have posted there is an oval shape. inside that outline on the far right hand side it has the word or the end a work 'mark'. just below and slightly to the left go the 'mark' there is what appears to be part of an image. If anyone knows what this makers mark is please help me.

I have looked at the mark a lot more and it is possible that the image may be a tree or shrub
 
Having trouble making out the mark there but I have a WPA marked sledge hammer that Skookum made. The mark is a tree about 1"-1.5" tall on those. There is some wording that looks like it says "mark" under it. This probably isn't helpful but a place to start.
