Did you get rich?

It was a fun day, Dan. Very good to meet you finally. Been a lot of years.

Great weather. Made the about-2-hour drive with no problems, in spite of everything Google Maps could do to prevent it.

It was my first knife show. I could have mortaged the house 7 times over on just one circuit of the rooms. Amazing collection of art and talent. Very nice people, too. Every one of the makers said it was OK to pick up/touch the knives, without being asked.

Spent over an hour with Dan and his wife Wendy. She has good taste in mysteries (Dan Brown). Was great to spend the time talking to Dan, learning about some of his current projects, reminiscing about knives we have known,...

I bought a couple of the new K3 kardas, like the ones pictured here:

Also got one of the 'ulu-inspired' (perhaps) knives that he is currently forging. I REALLY like this thing: he kept the forge scale everywhere except the edge which, as you would expect, cut you if you looked at it too hard. Lots of fun to use. There's a picture if it somewhere on the HI forum, but I can't find it at the moment.

That stands out.

Thanks, Dan. That's what I remembered.

I think I got the upper-right one in the picture with 3 of them. Or one very like it.

That's great Dan.

Was it fun? Did you sell a lot? When is your next show?

Good for you Dan! Nice to see you Aardvark. Wish I had made the trip now. I figured it would take me close to 4 hours each way so chickened out in favor of working my butt off all weekend around the house.

But I hope to see you both at the next Khonvention in Reno coming up soon.

Nice kardas and ulu knife! Just the thing for seal blubber, but I can think of a bunch of other chores where it would work nicely as well.

Hey Dan, hope you did good at the show! Some big names there!! I was just to dang lazy to drive up there, around and back after putting on over 1000+ miles to Las Vegas, around and back for the Shot Show, and the LVCKS+ Antique Arms and Armor Show....+ I hate just being a table hog drooler and not pick anything up...Since the LV show is moving to a different casino and there is a change on the date to, I have already choose not to go for the 2007 year but WILL make this show in Napa if they have it again?

Any pics of the show??
