Made my First knife

I'd like to comment, but it seems that your pictures aren't working. From the looks of the code, you tried to link to pictures stored in your Google account, which we won't be able to see. Try uploading them to TinyPic.com, Flickr, or Photobucket and then posting them.

Ahhh, that's better! Really, that knife has a really nice overall shape. The only thing I would change is that finger indention in the handle--just make it a little smoother and more rounded, is all--and I think that would make it a tad more comfortable. What scales are you going to put on?

Small, simple, and sharp. Kiridashi are made for carrying in a pocket or small pouch to sharpen pencils and do simple woodwork. I haven't made one, but I've handled a few, and the best ones are always chisel-ground at a pretty shallow angle. A pocket or neck sheath and a lanyard are nice touches. I look forward to seeing it!

look at Ivan Campos's kiridashi's for inspiration..he makes some really nice pieces that are true to the size a kiridashi should be.

Thanks i'll send you some pics when i get it done, i've got some kidex but can't figure out how to make a sheath out of it.

Overall it looks good, only thing i don't like is the shape of the choil area, overall it looks like a very functional little blade:thumbup:
