I know I made a huge deal about having a riggers/sailors knife but..........
I know which snow bank my original one is in, and two I narrwoed it down to were$$$$$ and one didnt get that good of reviews.
I had narrowed my choices down to two knives. The AG Russell Seamaster, and the Boye Folder. The Seamaster was Mucho Denero, and I read some not so great reviews about the Boye knife edge keeping abilities.

After going through the last 10 pages on this forum, I found two things. You all seem to recommend BenchMade, and alot of those recommendations are for the Griptillian.

So I went to REI and bought a model 551.

http://www.benchmade.com/products/product_detail.aspx?model=551

I go a good deal form a retail store....$85.

Was this the right Griptillian for me do you think? I like the feel of it, the plastic handle worries me but I think that is just because it is so light.

The handle is a synthetic called Noryl, made by DuPont.
It's very, very tough - I wouldn't worry about it.

Great knife and a pretty good price as well!
