I've been wanting to make myself a new EDC, ever since I put together a wet grinding 2 x 72 belt machine. It makes grinding bevels and edges, after heat treat, a whole new experience. This blade, ground thin after heat treatment measures 0.079, spine in front of the copper ferrel, with an extreme distal taper all the way to the tip. Shaving sharp is an understatement.
This is a working knife forged from 5160, with a snakeskin sycamore handle, copper and green dyed maple ferrel. Now I need a sheath.
The OAL is 8 inches. The knife has a faceted edge made up of 26-30-36 degrees.
