This one just finished, and I made it for me. I didn't have one of my knives that I could show and use so this will be the one.

5" W-2 blade,316 stainless guard and cap with a copper spacer, stag.
comments welcome (good or bad)

I like it a lot, Mike....but for me because I have small hands, the stag looks a bit long, and my eyes never really liked a knife where the handle was as long or longer than the blade.

Craftsmanship as always looks to be superb.

Thanks for the comment. The overall handle on this one is 4 1/2" making the OAL 9 1/2"
also fits my hand better.

I like it very much : classic looks and a nice compact size.
I am rather keen on larger handles, so the ratio looks cool to me.
 
Very nice Mike! I'm surprised it isn't damascus though. :p ;)

As a maker, it's impossible not to appreciate how crisp all those transitions are in the blade- super work Mike. :)
 
Looks good Mike. About time you made one for you, but like Allen says someone will try to talk you out of it.:thumbup:

I'm a little surprised about not being damascus, I did think about it several times.

Very nice, Mike. Isn't it funny how we hate to see our knives go, yet we never seem to keep any other than the early badly done "shop knives?" :D I am sure that I am not the only knife maker out there who doesn't carry one of his own knives. Enjoy it for whatever time you have it before someone offers to buy it from you.
 
I really like it Mike, but like STeven, the handle to blade proportion looks a little off to me.
I believe it may be the image as a 4.5" handle is not really long for this style/size knife.

Great looking stag, your grinds are well executed and I like your blade shape.
