Well, I've heard so much about stripping blades on this forum I decided to try a couple to see how I could do. I had two of the #68 HOFSHs with black blades, and decided to make on shiney.. Man did I love the outcome.. It's my favorite FSH now.. then I went to my BATAC with a ugly brown blade, and made it into my own "competition" BATAC... also while waiting for the epic Ganza, I got my 2 Fehrmans in I was waiting for.. a Extreme Judgement and a Last Chance... Sweet knives... ( yes, I respect a man who is not ashamed of his beliefs in Jesus Christ and practices what the Good Book says about being a Light unto the world... nuf said). Now that I like the clean steel look, My next will be a blue handled FFBM with Gray blade then an ASH1 ... I think the black canvas micarta would look good against steel. I can't brave the thought of drilling out the rivets to get to the tang of the blade, so these were all done with 400 grit paper, and a drimel tool with buffing compound.

Now for the difficult task of figuring out which ONE of the these awesome Ganza knives I can afford.. Has to be a FSH or a Mojo

The FSH looks GREAT!!

Dig the Last Chance. I have the Satin version. Sweet blade for sure!

I like Eric Fehrman's knives. The other stuff doesn't bother me. It takes all types, right? Nice work, FBUSMC.

The custom shop logo was deep on the HOFSH, but it almost disappeared on the BATAC. I did as very little sanding as possible on the blades. Again, it was all by hand.. no belt sanders, and the dremmel tool with a buffing pad and polishing compound saved a lot of steel. ALTHOUGH> it doesn't show that much on the pics, but the marks from the original blade cut are really prevelant on the blade; you can really see the grinds on the steel, which in a way I like... gives that rugged look.

That is some really nice work! I'm in the middle of stripping/polishing out my SH-E...so I appreciate the work involved! Nice job!

looks like some great results to me. Just think of leaving the handle scales on as keeping the tang under them with a rust proof coating on it.
