Well I got tired of the plain-Jane black scale that it comes with plus I hate the holes so I made a new one. It's my first scale and it's far from perfect but I love it! I think it looks so much better now.

I'll get some better pics tomorrow when the sun is out, I just had to show you guys.

Awesome job bro! Looks awesome!

Thanks Adam! You're still making scales, right?

You can see a couple spots at the top of the knife where I missed the liners but it's not all that noticeable in person. just a bit more sanding to get some rough spots out and it'll be good to go.

Feel the same way about mine, thanks for the inspiration. I think it looks awesome bro, nice material choice. Now it looks more like a traditional "ethnic series blade" :D:thumbup:

I'm still making 'em. Each time you do it, you get better. Those look outstanding for a first try!

Thanks bro:thumbup: I thought the black scale was a bit lame for such a unique knife. It's got some zazz now.

Most definitely:thumbup: I'll learn from all the little mistakes I made on this one and use that knowledge for my next. Kind of sucks that i only have one Ti framelock though, doing two scales is gonna be a pain in the arse!

It can definitely be a pain getting a set to match if you're doing a pattern especially. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Those look really good. How'd you countersink/bore the screws and what size did you use as one day I wana make some scales of my own.

Thank you sir:thumbup: I used a 5/32 inch bit for the screws and countersunk/bored them with a 1/4 inch counterbore. Go for it dude! it was a bit intimidating for me since I didn't know what I was doing but as long as you take it slow and match everything up right, you're gravy.

That's good work. I've made grips for some semiauto handguns before, but never for knives. And NOW, I'm into knives. Time to move.

very handsome, nice piece of work! did you have and trouble loosing some of the fit and finish? I find when I tinker with blades that are made with such high tolerances as the chokwe they tend to be a lot trickier to get everything fitted back up on
