Made the decision to get one. Which blade shape?

I'm getting a large inkosi. I'm now just trying to decide which blade shape. Inkosi or drop point?
This will compliment the rmj ucap that goes on my belt everyday during the week and will be alone on weekends unless I go to the woods where it will add to the rmj nomad.

My large inkosi sports (black) micarta and an insingo blade; so that is my recommendation.

I guess you meant to put Insingo instead of Inkosi, I’d go with the drop point. Works better for me in everyday use and looks nicer.

I own both blade shapes. Own a tanto as well. I personally love the Insingo. my Knives are used at work and used often. The Insingo is perfect for certain tasks and fellow electricians will know what I mean. The insingo is very similar to most stripping knife blade shapes. I’m not all too familiar with the fixed blades you have but the Insingo would give you another blade option different from them with you. On the other hand tho if I had to get rid of all blade shapes and only keep one, which would be a brutal choice , I’d go with drop point. It will all depend on the tasks you will be doing the most. Can’t go wrong with either choice tho

It’s just a personal preference, I like the drop point the best. The insingo blade will be easier to sharpen. Both pierce good.

As stated above, it depends upon what you normally find yourself cutting. I'm a teacher and my cutting tasks might be to cut loose threads, open a box or cut a paper or piece of posterboard for a student. After a year of daily carrying, I've never had the need for anything but a sharp edge with a pointy end. So, I can get the same use out of an Insingo as I can with a drop point. For me, it just comes down to which I prefer aesthetically. I have worked in other jobs though, where I could see one blade shape working better than another.

One thing to keep in mind is that with a knife like a Sebenza, you're spending a lot of money, so if you buy a blade shape that you don't like the looks of, but "think" it's better for you, you'll probably end up selling it off. Mentally you'll continue asking yourself if you want to have a $400 knife that you think is ugly. Eventually the question will get to you, especially when they're so easy to sell off on the exchange here.

So after going to my local shop I ended up buying a plain sebenza 21 insingo.
Congrats. I do prefer my Sebenza insingo’s over Inkosi insngo’s. Not sure why just do. I’m looking forward to the 31s as well. Got two on order

From my experience the Insingo is a better slicer. I like the drop point for harder tasks though.

Congrats on getting your first CRK.
