My wife and I were both off from work today and decided to drive the 150 miles (each way) to New Graham Knives in Bluefield, VA to check it out. I had seen the pics of the new building on their site and wanted to see it for myself. If any of you guys happen to find yourself near there, you should really check it out. Huge, very nice knife shop. We walked out broke. I bought a Spyderco Rookie and a Benchmade 151BK (Fixed Griptilian with black coating). My wife bought the Kershaw Blur with the G10 inserts in the handle as well as one of the Benchmade pens and a BaliYo which is a goofy pen that works like a butterfly knife. We both really enjoyed the shop and the employees were very friendly and helpful. We could have easily spent 5 times the money that we did if we had it to spend.

As a side note, I LOVE the Spyderco Rookie. It may be my new, most favorite knife. In fact, next payday I'm thinking of buying another one as a spare.

Sounds like a great trip. I hope to make it there sometime this year, but I've got twice the distance the OP does to NGK. I'll be hitting up SMKW on the way to the Smoky Mountains for my anniversary trip in May, and I might be able to make my own pilgrimage to NGK when we're visiting my wife's family in eastern Kentucky, as its only about 170 miles from where she grew up.
