After drooling over this knife for years I finally came up with the money and the right state of mind to spend the money ;)

Bought an orange Military from another forum member... can't wait till it's here :)
Hope the size isn't too much for me to edc, but I've been told the knife shrinks after a couple of week :p This should make a good successor for my Tenacious.

I always carry my Tenacious without the clip in my front pocket because the clip bothers me when using the knife. Is the Military pocketable without the clip? Or do I better use the clip to avoid the risk of loosing it?

:D

I don't know about you knife bro, but it annoys me no end when a longish knife moves around and takes a horizontal position inside my pocket.

Totally agreed. That's the exact reason I don't loose pocket carry anything bigger that a Lady Bug.

You Will Like your Millie when you get it. It should only take a few days to

get used the size. I definately would advise using the Millie with a clip...

I dont know how you can use a Tenacious loose in your pocket. :jerkit:

Something tells me you will like that knife a lot! I always use the clip on knives that have them. Otherwise you have to fumble around with them trying to get them out of your pocket.

Ur gonna love it . I know I love my military ,and its thin wich is more important for pocket use then a shorter blade that is fat.IMO

oh boy, that's a pretty one there with the red/black g10 and ti.

Thanks for all the replies guys, some reassurance that I made a good choice after spending that much on a knife does make me feel relieved :)

I love mine. When i got it in hand it felt like a sword, but after using it for a day it shrunk down, and now feels like a normal sized knife to me. Albeit, i had a Timberline Kelly Worden Large Tactical that was around the same size, but this knife still seems bigger.

I think you will love the s30v aswell. It will lose its shaving sharp edge quickly but holds a working edge a long time.

If you want a different clip and clip position, there is a member by the name of STR who makes titanium clips and can tap new holes for your military

Using the pocket clip, the Military is one of the easiest carrying, most unobtrusive knives around. It doesn't weigh you down and is fast to draw.

Yep, I agree.

It carries very flat and smaller than one would think it would and it's light enough not to weigh down the pocket, it's light for it size.

I own about 25 high end folders now, the majority of them being spyderco.

The military is probably my favorite all around out of all the knives I have. It even beats my cf s90v para2.
