Mag handles?

Am considering buying a Heavy Heart with Mag handles. For those of you who have Mag handles, do you think they would fit medium-sized hands?
Am definitely gonna use it if I buy it, so would like to hear your opinions...
 
i have medium sized hands, and the mags definitely feel better to me than the regs.
 
I have small to medium sized hands and love/definitely recommend the mags on a FSH or HH. I am thinking the ones on my FBM may be too thick for me, but my FBMLE feels perfect...hmm. I would really like to try a Hell Razor with mags, but they are sooo hard to find.
 
The mags are best on med/small hands. The palm swells really fill the hands.

Big ham hands like regular slabs. ;)


Compared to a blue and black g10 grip from a custom manufacturer.

I had a HH w/ mags. I tried to like them, but they were just too "square" at where I thought it should be rounded. I sanded on them, removing all the texturing.

I eventually sent it back and got standard Snakeskin handles put on. For ME, it now feels perfect in my medium sized hands.

I have a heavy heart with std handles and a FBM with mags and std. When I just had the HH I always asumed I would like the mags better, but to be honest after handling the mags and std on the two FBM's I think I prefer the std handles. I have small to medium size hands.
 
I have XL hands and FBM's with both style handles. I much prefer the standard handle.
 
Thanks for all the advice, guys... David E, what did you use to sand the mag handles with? Was it relatively easy?
 
I used a dremel tool w/ the 120 grit 1/4" sanding band. It worked pretty well. I then blended it in by hand and 220 grit. Tape over the tang to avoid cosmetic "Oh, SH#t's!"
 
As an additional perspective:

I have HH's with standard and mag handles.
I have never used either HH, but in handling them the mag handles are just too large to get a good grip ( I have size XL hands ).
If you've every handled a Becker knife, there similarities.
The Becker handle seemed ok until I used it extensively- at that point
it felt like I was in constant danger of losing the knife. I made my own handles.
Granted, I think the mag handles are a much better design-but too similar for me.
Both my FBM's have standard handles. I figured I'd be better off wearing gloves if I needed to take up any space.
 
All this talk has me wondering if I made a mistake ordering a FBMLE with its mag handles. It is going to be a "user". Can anyone out there who has a FBMLE post the O.D. at the largest part of a FBMLE's handles? Thanks...
