Magazines similar to Backwoodsman?

Any magazines similar to Backwoodsman out there? Having to wait a couple months between issues can get to you after a while ! In all actuality, it is better to learn by one on one with others, such as a WSS gathering; and most important, get out there and learn on your own. I still like to read about it. Looks like Wilderness Way has gone the way of the dodo.

Looking for printed magazines, as well as on line magazines. I seem to remember a thread about this, I might've even asked this question before, but search isn't working for me right now .

i believe i read on bushcraft usa that they went under about a year ago, shame too. I always enjoyed it and i had just renewed.

Self reliance illustrated is the best mag ive ever read!!! 95% is all survival info and the other 5% is adds for survival gear! Dave canterbury and blindhorse knives hit the nail on the head

BCUSA has a pretty darn good online magazine, dealing with 'our' sort of stuff.

man i don't mean to be a bummer, but look at the damn price of the SRI. it's a bit HIGH...
there is no need for a mag to cost so much...it's all fluff IMO...
35 bucks a year...no fu%^ING WAY...7 bucks an issue?WTF?...

this mag is published once a year only. it's written and edited by Mel Tappan's widow.

The second issue of New Pioneer just hit the newsstands and the word is it will be a quarterly from here on out.
