“And do you think that unto such as you
A maggot-minded, starved, fanatic crew
God gave a secret, and denied it me?
Well, well—what matters it? Believe that, too!”

Omar Khayyam

beautiful old school Busse.
I'm also lost on the maggot reference, but the pictures are tops

I think the maggots reference is regarding Busse Combat popularity in the afterlife. Im taking at least three with me, so far.

I have tasted the maggots in the mind of the universe
I was not offended
For I knew I had to rise above it all
And I'll just leave it at that

When I was knighted and made a Hog of the Round Trough
Jerry bestowed upon me the name: Trichinosis!
I have infected your brain with my little round worms AND with
pictures of the Divine INFI.

“A Knife Addict’s (Not So), Humble Confessional”

Aw, c’mon. Don’t get so excited. They’re just knives. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

And I have more of them than any sane man should. My motto for knife buying is: “Determined - Diligent - Decisive.” As well as: “Just Buy the Damn Thing.”

Might sound like bragging. And it might a little be. But, but...Y’all know how it is. You just keep buying them. And buying them. And buying them. And pretty soon you got 839,602 pounds of Bussekin laying about - and in the Bank Safe Deposit Box.

And it’s damn hard to believe that some (regular) folks don’t understand how I drive a truck I bought brand new in 1990 - and will often drop $600 on a desired blade. Short-sighted blighters. I’m creating a Collection here.

I spent most of my adult career in the Museum/Historic Site field and that thinking has affected my knife buying. I want to eventually display one representative of each (standard) model that has flown forth from the walls of Waseon. Hope I can open that museum someday. It’s nice to have Life-goals.

So there’s my confession. Use it freely as a warning - or as a guide. Thanks for the images. They look great.

Be well, all. And keep that Exchange full of desirable offerings. I’m not yet through.

It's a contagion, I tell'ya. Not unlike Corona Virus, but it's fun to get and you long not to be cured!

What are a few models you just haven't found yet?

Most of the smaller one’s I’ve yet to obtain. Original Badger. BAe. Mr. Mojo/Mofo. SOW with green handles. RIP. Skeleton Key etc. And a few of the more recent releases. As y’all know. There’s a hell of a lot to choose from. I’m not a rich guy. So I have to be selective with any purchase.

And can only buy ones that appear on The Exchange and eBay. Or new releases. I’m often unenthusiastic about new designs, so those might be picked up later. Other outlets ok, but better deals on the other two venues.

Did start an early focus on some models like the ASH1, and damned if I didn’t eventually own 15 of them. So it’s both a broad - but occasionally narrow - approach to collecting. And it is a lifetime’s labor. Only been at this since 2013, and the collection focus was formulated over time. Hopefully I will have a few more years of searching.

Have a good weekend all.
