Sorry for the link (I can't post pics), but please

Check out #12 in my album!

All that is left is etching my name on the blade and sharpening it. This was a fun knife to make, and my best effort yet. Thanks for peeking!

Oh, and if anyone could be so kind as to post the pic for me, you'd be my favorite person all day!

Here you go Bud!

LHKnives, you are awesome! I can't thank you enough for posting that pic. you are now my favorite persone all week!

I'll put a few details here about the knife. It is 7.5" OAL, with a cutting edge of 3". The blade is 1/8" thick 440-C, flat ground, and I took it to a mirror finish mostly by hand and then took a scotchbrite pad to it, to give a satin finish that can easily be touched up. There are 2 pins, one hidden under the wrap and the other is a mosaic pin I made. The handle material is green linen micarta that is polished smooth. My girlfriend made the wrap, a cord that I call a Magic Knot (she just ties these little knots in the string and voila! By magic a cool cord comes out.) I cut a channel in the handle to accomodate the cord. The cord gives a slight palm swell as well as adding a textured surface to aid in grip. I coated the cord in superglue to keep it from getting dirty and such. It was a lot of fun to make, and my best effort yet!

Always meant to ask you in chat what the "magic knot" part was. Now I know, and like it even more for knowing.

And I thought the Vancouver Rescue was cool. (Well, I still do. :D )

Karl that's a classy effort, I like the rope winding a lot, and the overall design looks very useful. I hope this knife brings you a lot of success. I'd like to see the filework too, if possible. Thanks for sharing,

Dave
