Magnacut as a standard production item?

Maybe it would be better if the glasses were smaller. They could make like it is for BOS S30V. Have a small pair of glasses next to "Larrin" with "Magnacut" on the second line. It would give proper attribution while not being quite as 'in your face' as the giant glasses. The glasses might be his logo, but for the unfamiliar, they don't identify 'who' like the Larrin text would.

I remember when the 110 Magancut came out some folks "Questioned" Bucks heat treatment as not optional but if ANYONE knows heat treatment of steel for a knife it's Buck. Many knife companies use every 'new' steel to come out just to have the latest and greatest and of course to sell more product. I'm glad Buck takes there time to develop the best heat treatment so we get the best possible product at a reasonable cost..Buck LIKES Magancut and I bet they get the most out of it as far as balance between hardness, toughness, ease of sharpening and all the other things that make a great knife. Just please make a drop point 112 for me..

pretty sure Buck said themselves they followed crucible recommendations for heat treat on the first 110 magnacut. there was some confusion on what was the hrc in that thread, but was cleared up by either Jeff or the Buck mod......and was an optimal hrc. my memory is 61 to 62 range......we can dig up that thread though if someone wants the exact hrc that was done.

I also think the glasses deal is just Dr. Larrins logo thing, not a heat treat indicator like the Bos.......

We are actually running Magnacut at 62-64 now.
I'm sorry, I can't hear you over Buck not making Magnacut a standard steel in their entire classic line.

The "Knife Steel Nerds" glasses logo was a one-off just for Larrin Thomas' knife run. I like it as it makes that one run special and eventually rare as hell a decade or more from now.

I currently own probably a dozen buck knives and the only reason I haven't bought one in the last couple of years is because I keep missing out on the magnacut limited releases. I am definitely looking forward to getting a 663 Alpha Guide Elite.
