If someone asked me I think my answer would be along these lines: Ocean. Lake. Home kitchen. Industrial kitchen. Outdoors. Maybe not quite in applications liable to see high velocity slips with a stone or metal backdrop. But it'll chop wood. It's a pretty great steel overall. My impression from making a small run so far, but I only had the knives for a day or three each, with the exception of a choppy long knife in 3/16" I did some limited testing with. Am I on base?

If enough were available it would be all I would use. I just received a couple of billets at .211 to see how it forges. I love it and my field test individuals rave about it.

Maybe a little more work to finish than other steels but other than that I'm loving it! I'm making slip joints with it. Following the recommended HT recipe. It's going to be the dominant steel in my shop for quite a while I think.
