magnacut?

They should bring back some of the vintage Benchmades in Magnacut.

Large companies probably buy steel well in advance, so they may need to work through months if not a year of what they already bought before starting to use another steel.

Benchmade overall seems slower to adopt newer steels. They're just barely starting to introduce S45VN in small amounts, while other companies have completely switched over to it. They seemed slower to move from 154CM to S30V as their "baseline" steel, and they never adopted S35VN. In the past two years they have seemed to have more steel diversity in their lineup, but only after other manufacturers have done the same.

I can see it happening. It would be a great choice for some black class offerings especially given the high toughness. A Bailout in Magnacut would be very interesting.

It would be interesting to see a SelectEdge Taggedout from Hunt series. Thinking a couple of hunters preparing to pack out their game would be interested?

Jimmy, Poorly worded on my part, I meant because it was SelectEdge in addition to the Taggedout's incredibly wonderful slicey geometry.

We eventually saw SV30 hit mid-range production knives so in a short while we will see Magnacut, which will soon be as pervasive as SV30 was in its day.

Maybe it is more like- Hopefully Benchmade keeps a closer eye on their heat treating contractor's work.
Did they ever rectify that for the 3v bailouts? I have a friend who is looking at one but will warn him to hold off if its still running soft

They fixed that almost as soon as the outrage started. You can find their answer in this forum.

Following the Bailout 3v story and chasing the rabbit, including BF threads were enjoyable and helpfull. As a hobbyist, I learned a ton about one of my favorite knife makers, 3v and heat treating, communities, rational reasonable people, and haters. I have not tried 3v, but this story and my one modded 940-1501 with 940-1 carbon fiber in Magnacut means I'm interested. BTW, I still love Benchmades 20cv. :)

Yes they Benchmade changed 3v's HRC.
Benchmade calls out Bailout 3v at HRC 60-62 today. I see both M4 aluminum and 3v Grivory Bailouts at Knife Center, a BF member.
Benchmades 2019 catalog originally reported on steels page, 3v at 55-58, via screenshot from first BF thread listed below, on page 4 by member Silent H.
(current 2019 digital catalog has been changed to 60-62HRC for both 3v steel and Bailout from Benchmade webpage and several archived dates at Wayback Machine?)
On May 22, 2019 in second thread listed below, Jimmy from BF Benchmade forum reported 3v "was currently" 56-59HRC.

Summary of history-
Some individual early batch units were first discovered through use and sharpening to not hold up to reasonable expectations for people familiar with 3v. These were tested. Tests were recorded and reported, here is 3 tests.
LoveThemKnives (LTK) had 3 tested, they were within Benchmade's 2019 specs of 55-58HRC.
LTK's spreadsheet records the following:
(56 (but 56.3 on utube test video = batch 15/16 @19:40 in), then 57 in May 2019, and lastly 57.5 in August 2019).
HRC 56 (apparantly rounded down or typo or from another (4th) unit, on spreadsheet)?
56 unit annotated "thru coating" on spreadsheet. PLUS on batch 15 video for 56.3 unit, tester wrote note on report to LTK, "removing coat added 0.5-0.75hrc."
