I like Emerson knives for exactly the opposite reason -- they stick to the known materials, known steel, and as a result I exactly know how my knife will function. The knife behavior is predictable, and I'd dislike to see that predictability taken away.

Too bad Emerson doesn't ship internationally. They would also benefit from doing some special runs in different steels, and a right hand CQC line.

Thanks for the offer; I have several relatives in the USA who can forward purchases. Heading for LA in June; Emerson is doing a CQC right hand grind run in the near future I just learned.

Not sure about all of their offerings, but it seems like a majority are 154CM. It looks like the CQC-7BW is currently offered in S35VN.

Got a Com-Seven in today. It's amazing. The more magnacut they bring out, the more I will buy (or rebuy). Super Commander MC at the top of my list!

Anyone have a protocol for knocking the bite off the G10? I've done it before on other brands, Cold Steel mostly. Never been in love with the results aesthetically.

Been years for me too. They have really upped the fit and finish since last time I bought new. Buttery action, proper lock up, solid detent. It's everything I ever wanted in an Emerson.
