Magnet knives

Good morning all,

This is really odd to me and after years buying, selling trying out different designs, locks, steels I got my small collection out this morning to decide on a couple to sell.

I lined them up and I have 2 that stick together!?!?

A Boker titanium Gulo and a Fletcher. They don’t magnetize to any other knives just these 2. Now the Protech is doing it to the Fletcher to

Steels are Cpm 154, 154cm and supposedly Rwl 134 on the Fletcher


Anyone else ever have this happen?

It’s probably from a magnet used during manufacturing. If steel is attached to a magnet for long enough, the steel itself becomes magnetic.

Trying to get a pic up

doesn’t stick to any other steels but 154

It doesn’t stick to the T.A Davidson in cpm 154. Only 154 it doesn’t stick too
