You can go to Michaels and buy a stack of magnet and tape them together. As mentioned HF has some small magnets that work well also. Just do not use a strong magnet if you are grinding on the steel platen
Get a half dozen and bolt them every 2" to a 10" piece of square tubing and you will have a great blade holder. Then, I like to wrap a piece of cardstock or paper around it to make it easier to clean.
I take hard drives apart for the magnets. They would be plenty strong. I stopped using a magnet to hold the blade cause it kept getting full of shavings. I really like the idea though so I think I'll make a new push stick that can be wrapped with tape or something.
