Magnetic blade after quench and temper, should a knife be magnetic?

I've been moving steel on the anvil (for the first time in my 60's and this ia a blast}, My latest blade is a 5160 steel, and after quenching amd tempering it is magnetic. Why is it magnetic and the ones before were not?
