A short video showing a strong magnetic lanyard attachment for your amusement, 1/2 inch square Neodymium magnet, thin cable lanyard and Buck 124 Frontiersman, 12 ounces (a quick, simple, low-cost and no-drill solution to the "how can I attach a lanyard to this knife" question):

Thank you kindly 9b. The idea of drilling a hole in the handle of my knife, in order to attach a lanyard, gives me the fidgets.

Off topic: Don't look at this one: http://youtu.be/DlRNkwlolyw :)

Fun with magnets: Drop one of these into a copper or aluminum pipe and it takes about 5-6 times to come out the other end vs simply falling thru the air. Magnetic damping. Hard to show on video, however.

I was doing that last week lol

But I'm sure not driling any holes in my knives.....

I have the smaller version of that knife :) Buck Pathfinder I think mine is called. Was a gift from my pap.
Also thats why I buy knives with holes in them already :D
