Magnus Axelson is just about my favourite knife maker of all time. His work is different, and in a good way!
But he and I also are great friends, although we have never met face to face.

We are also facebook friends, and when I saw him post this knife to his timeline, I just felt that you all needed to see it too.

Great looking knife from a muti-talented craftsman.
That's an outstanding and well executed damascus pattern as well.
There's got to be an equally extraordinary sheath that accompanies it.

I didn't say anything to Magnus about this thread, hopefully he finds it and posts more photos. Especially of the sheath, which I haven't yet seen either.

Joe, I believe that Magnus' patron requested a knife similar to Stormy. Nothing pleases me more than for a pattern I've helped develop resonate with other custom knife enthusiasts!

He always has a great mix of angles, curves and textures, not to mention great materials.

Hey thanks for the post Lorien! =)
And thanks for all kind comments!

Mark this was indeed made for Jack S.

I found this very late..., but here are a few more pictures of the knife and its sheath:

The Damascus, the handle wood, the bronze fittings, his unique leather work...I always like to see Magnus-san's combination of each materials.
The shape and the details are very sophisticated.

Congratulations,Lorien !

Sorry !
I saw the photographs and just misunderstood.
I like your "Storm", and I thought the knife is also yours because of the same concept...

Was wondering if the handle is stabilized or natural.

Great looking blade and leatherwork to boot.

the concept definitely has legs! It makes me happy to see the pattern repeated and refined for others' enjoyment

Stormy Weather now has a brother, which very few have seen. Hopefully in print one day soon :)
