Has anyone got this one yet? I've pre-ordered it 3 months ago, still no signs of it. It should be "available" in May according to the Böker website...

Yes, I know I'm an inpatience A-hole...

PS Terry/Tobias, is there a limited amount of the Tirpitz Damast? I'm currently arranging a deal with my dealer, if it's limited to 300 or 500 pieces, I won't have much room to negotiate:rolleyes::D

I haven't received the MAG2008s yet, and haven't heard when to expect them yet.

In all my literature, it doesn't state any set number of Tirpitz Dams.
We got them in yesterday, and man, are they pretty.
We also got the damascus boot knife, and the Beauty.
Truly wonderful workmanship on those.
Thanks,
Terry

Thx for the info Terry. Now I need to save up for the Tirpitz. One more thing, are they serialized like all other LEs?

Yeah, there are a lot of good looking 2008 Boker knives with the Che, Titan Defender, Tirpitz and Leo V damascus boot knife. Terry, do you have a picture of the sheath that comes with the boot knife, or what exactly does it look like?

I was looking at the the German Boker site reading about the Che and it said that you could pick between assited opening and fully automatic with the knife. Of course the automatic functionality is disabled on the US knives but isn't the Che the first assisted opener from Boker?

Are the Che and the Titan Defender in already? and if so what do you think of them?

The great thing about the damascus knives from Boker is that you get to own a piece of history with the Leo Damascus, Eurofighter Damascus, and now the Tirpitz Damascus. Besides the Tirpitz Damascus looking like a million bucks, it must be awesome knowing that the steel in that blade came from the largest naval destroyer ever built in europe! I was wondering about the symbold on the wooden handle of the Tirpitz that looks like a coat of arms. Is that just decoration or does it have some historical significance?

Thanks

Tacticalgerman,
thank you for your kind words. Here are a few answers to your questions:

sheath of the Leo-Damascus-Dagger:
- light brown leather, with snap closure and metal clip

CHE Double Action:
- yes, the first BÖKER Solingen production, the other two DA were Boker Plus

Tirpitz shiled insignia:
Yes, it is the authentic logo. If you google for "Tirpitz wappen" you will find a US website, which explains the meaning of it. BTW, those are not arms, those are the shapes of two old viking ships, but you can see it better on the website.
If you cannot find it, shoot me a PM or email.

thanks lycosa, but i've got mine (german) a few months ago, besides that, it's digitally available at the böker site.

and thanks for clarifying tobias.
